Magic vs Prayer Was listening to a old Art Bell 'Coast to Coast' episode on radio other night while driving and he had on, as a guest, a witch, and well, the Witch shared a lot about energy, magic, spells, and 'God'. And as I grow older, not sure if there's a difference, for as the witch said, energy is energy, it depends on how you use it. I mean with prayer, you're basically on knees and praying to a entity you cannot see nor ever met, you're basically praying to 'energy'. And in reality you have no idea who's or what's receiving your prayer....as far as you know you could be praying or summoning a demon...  I mean people just assume it's 'Jesus's' spirit they're praying to, but how do they know??? Could be a demon instead, since can't see it. And a name?...what's that?...the name of 'Jesus' comes in how many different languages?...what's a name? So most physically imagine in their mind whom they want to think they're praying for..and so forth, but in reality have no idea who's receiving that prayer. _______________________________ The Jewish bible warns against magic, witchcraft and so forth, but why? To me, prayer is also 'magic', but one simply expecting a diety to do magic for 'you', us, I or them by effecting or altering a 'outcome' the way we want it to be. Magic basically. God casting a 'spell' of sorts on another to get them to obey your wish, a favorable outcome for 'you', which to another could be oppression. Anyways, with that being said, time allowing we'll explore this comparison more...Magic vs Prayer, oh, and don't be shy, feel free to add your own comment if wish to. I'm willing to open this blog forum up more to others as long as not spam and have something intelligent to add to conversation.
