Purchased hand held portable water filter Ordered a hand held water filter device...why?...why not, I mean incase things get bad, the main thing one will need, I will need, is a fresh supply of water, and carrying around water bottles while hiding in the woods is not ideal or realistic. I hope the day never comes that I need to use something like this, but now days you just never know...is why slowly stocking up on survival stuff, cause if things go south in society, my plan is simply to 'hide out' and stay low. To be invisible, taking a stand and fighting only works if you live on a compound and have over 10 people trying to survive with, but if alone, the best strategy is to just hide out and remain invisible...and having a water filter like this makes that more possible....can dip into any stream, pond, lake, and it filters out like 99.999% of contaminants...I ordered mine from Amazon.

Survival equipment discussion and review I fear the time may come when stuff like this is needed, I mean the way things are going, you just never know. And one doesn't have to be hundreds of miles out in the woods to 'survive in the woods, in fact more than likely you, me, most, would have to make our stand either within large city limits or just outside large city. Many cities, I'd say most cities, are full of mini forests and trees and rivers and vacant buildings ect, that's a more realistic view of surviving should things get bad or go south. The main thing would be to remain invisible and to not be seen as a 'threat' by whatever major power is trying to take over, almost like a typical homeless person, only much better organized and strategic.

Basic first aid kit Can't believe I've gone all these years without one, I mean I think even my parents, even though not survival types, had enough sense to keep first aid kit in the home, me, I've never done that, until now...now that I'm older and seeing how quick society is changing, and as distrust of Doctors grow, I think it's time I order some first aid stuff for sure.

Fire starter I'm also ordering a 'fire starter'...in the future I'll order more after test the one that arrives. Why?...why not?, I mean how many of us have seen movies where two people stranded, it's cold, need fire for heat, but all matches wet or lighter won't start, so a fire starter is perfect, works better than trying to rub two sticks together, which hardly ever works unless a Australian Bush man or something. But ye, will for sure add this to my survival kit.

Survival food is a trickier proposition Survival food is a much trickier proposition, in that most survival food kits are marketed to types who'll never use them, scared older people who think the Democrats are going to take over, and so figure they need to stock up on food in house. No, if that's the case than just set aside budget every month to buy a ton of canned foods, ect at Walmart or Sam's, if plan on holding up inside of own home. That's not me at all, for when I think 'survival food' I'm thinking more as in powdered type stuff astronauts use in space, or that the Army eats when out in the field, small powdered packets of basically flavored protein, ect, that can fit in a back pack, cause regular food takes up a lot of space and impossible to haul around with you if on the move and on foot. It's best if one knew how to 'fish' and or 'trap' while in the woods, heck even a high powered pellet gun could help you hunt small birds, squirrels, ect...cause when starving I'm sure they'd seem yummy, sounds mean, but if in the woods, forest, alone and starving, you'll try anything to live. This scene, from 'The Book of Eli', troubled me at first, cause I like cats, I like all animals, but have to realize when starving you have to eat, and most of us eat animals now, hamburgers, KFC, Taco Bell (assuming they use real meat), Wendy's, Burger King, steak, lamb, seafood and more, it's just someone else did the killing for us, none the less the animal had to die in order to become food for 'us'. So ye, I may order a book on edible plants in the wild and other ways to survive if off the grid and main commercial food sources cut off.

Motion detector security sensor a must, if outdoors in the woods If camping outdoors, or even if hiding out in some abandoned building in some post apacolyptic world, this is a must, if not this model than any other model that does the same thing which is basically a 'trip wire', an electric one, that warns of any approaching bodies, animal or human or even zombie.. I will for sure get this And the receiver is a watch, so don't have to worry about downloading anything onto phone...I like that. Here's there website, although you have to order from Amazon..and where I origianlly found this product... outdoorfull.com/product/olymbros-security-sensors-wireless-hunting-camping-alarm-system-kit-motion-detectorsensor-long-range-infrared-diy-alert-system-keep-hunters-safe-protect-your-house-yard-ranch-garage-property/ Sleeping is when your most vulnerable, knowing if someone or something is sneaking up on you gives you comfort and of course safety and time to prepare, if need be.

I tell ya what, the way things have been going lately, with Russia and all, China, crime here in the U.S., I'd better start or continue stocking up on off the grid survival stuff, cause when stuff goes down either you're instantly ready for it or you're not, and if not you become prey to your immediate circumstances.
