Wix
For me, it's a thumbs down, and here's why
1. Can't stand any site that totally hides 'delete your site' tab, that's totally unacceptable.
You shouldn't have to go to 'help section' to find 'delete site' tab, otherwise I consider that trickery, why would I ever give such a site my credit card info?
2. When starting it gives you the option of AI, as in let site automated brain develop your site, or you can do it, well I chose the AI function, and wasn't happy with it, and there was no obvious way to go back to beginning of process, instead there was the 'create another website' tab or option.
Again, unacceptable, I mean if you make a mistake, and want to start over, there should be easy to read, large tabs that say
'Hit here to start over', I mean how gdm hard is that? Why make crap complicated for people?
Yet of course ever present is the 'upgrade now' tabs, oh ye, they make sure the upgrade now tabs are always loud and visible.
3. Anysite where I have to go to help page before even done setting up, forget about it, more wasted and lost time on the computer.
Wix always toted itself as being so user friendly and all, and maybe it is for some, but wasn't for me, I guess cause I have specifics.
4. Photo I uploaded for main page wasn't fitted correctly, site AI made photo to large, so only about 75% of photo fit into template, and even when go to edit it, there's no way to shrink photo to size, again totally unacceptable.
All these little details or errors just end up taking up time, valuable time and mental energy many just don't have these days.
And if I was already that frustrated before even actually paying for service, I can only imagine how much more frustrated I'd be after a paid and still got no help or issues resolved.
To me, on a site like Wix, if I have to constantly seek help for the most minor of things, than no way, there's no way I'd pay to have website there, cause I've learned it only gets worst after you pay, or do some monthly plan, once they have your money, it only gets worse.
And if there's no 'delete website' tab visible before I pay, than why would I pay, give them permission to deduct from account monthly, with no way to delete account.
hell no.
So for me, Wix is out, I gave them a shot, and just didn't work for me, maybe you'll have better luck.
