Scariest movie characters, and why

My number one scariest movie character is 'the demon' from the movie the 'Exorcist'...



This is probably the most scariest movie horror character to me of all time...why?

Just something uneasy about seeing 'innocence' so jaded by evil, and no movie since or before has really contrasted this dynamic better than the movie 'The Exorcist'.

Not the sequels, nothing...the original Exorcist personified evil to it's core.

And from here other scare movie characters will be posted, and the reason why they made top 10 list...

Second most scariest movie character, 'Crucifix' from the movie 'Carrie'



The crucifix scene from the movie 'Carrie' where the doll of 'Jesus', starts shaking, as house is tumbling apart, will never forget effect had on me as a youth when saw for firs time.

Why was scene so scary to me?

Cause as a youth, nothing was more sacred than 'Jesus', nothing was to be more honored, revered, and then to see that character made so helpless on the big screen, really just shook me for many years.

'Jesus' in above scene, seemed more 'haunted' than 'holy', and just scared me to death, when younger....as if seeing one of your own parents possessed by the devil or something.

As such, must rank this doll here as being near second on most scariest Hollywood characters of all time.

3rd most scariest movie character to me

This baby creature from the movie 'It's alive', when first saw this add or trailer, as a youth, scared me near to death, again the idea of 'innocence' being so corrupted, that recipy just scared me to death when younger.

Babies were suppose to be nice not mean and cruel and devilish.
