And just like that, evil rent is due tomorrow. Rent is such an invented scam, people gobble up their retirement paying rent to people who stole land from the Indians, and now pay others to live on their stolen land...what a dern scam.

I tried renting a car at the airport on Monday, booked through 'Priceline', but when got there they wouldn't take my debit/credit card (Sixt car rental).
Long story short, I ended up paying off, wiping the balance away, from a Credit Union credit card I have, so that if have to rent a car or van again, won't have that issue, I hope. It's always something, no matter what you do to be 'right', there's always something else they add.

A career vs a job is so different... In a job, you're simply chasing a pay check, but with a career, you're chasing your dreams and ambitions.

I'm in decent health now, but wow, sometimes I wake up and just wonder how I'm going to make it in the future, cause the reality is, is that we're all just one big or even small, mishap away from nothing.
Just one event can change everything for the worse....and it won't matter what you did 'right' before that...just one event.
I guess it helps when have support, family, a spouse, ect, but when alone, the future can really begin to look scary....very scary.

If I'm going broke, i don't know it and don't really care. I never, or rarely ever look at my checking account.
I mean, if I'm going to be poor, why stress over it, I mean as long as I can eat and pay rent, what do I care what's in my checking account.

I'm probably going to have to downsize to a studio apartment soon, yuk, I'd rather live in a RV than be stuck in a studio apartment next to a loud neighbor linkStudio apartments are still cheaper than 1-2 bedroom ones, so if can save 50% or more on rent, than well, I may have to do what I have to do soon, when current lease ends.

Once again, I'm considering a roommate
I go through this about 3 times a year. And every time I run an ad, and people respond, I back out. I usually run the ad when I'm drunk, then when sober, not interested in sharing the place.
But this time, might be different, in that job situation is wobbly, may be losing job, since refuse to sign 'face recognition' waiver...heck no! And inflation, ect.
I really don't want to work harder, at my age, I'd instead rather think of ways to save money. But a roommate? That's a big risk....anytime sharing place with another human, can be very risky.
And I never seem to get the roommate I want, and that would be someone young, cute, soxy and quiet...lol (who doesn't want that?)
Instead, it's always ugly men who respond, or trashy older females (or even younger ones up to know good)
1. If a single male, never, repeat, never get a younger attractive female roommate, or you'll regret it. a. Single younger women = men hanging around. b. They could set you up, blackmail you. c. Can be apart of a crime ring.
When it comes to a roommate, if it's to good to be true, than it probably is, or they are.
Older retired types?? Sure, but hyper boring, not soxy, but if all you want is rent paid on time, sure.
I just can't be in close proximity with anyone I don't find soxy or cute or handsome, ect.
---------------------------
Heterosoxual vs Gay/Lesbian?
I'd rather, as a single male, have a openly or closet cute gay guy than a older straight hetero male = hyper boring. And or a lesbian, I wouldn't mind that either...the worse that can happen is they can invite other females over...lol.
Anyways, we shall see. I think I'll create a podcast from this post.

Gotta pay rent soon, as in today or tomorrow at the latest. For a while, I was months ahead of rent, but now, not so much so. And now rent is taking a bigger grab than ever, out of my money supply, it's a scary feeling not knowing if your labor can cover rent or not, cause what more can you do, especially as you age?
I mean as you age, your ability to labor begins to diminish, and your enthusiasm, ect.
You win, by not having to pay rent, I had that plan, until a imbisol messed it up. Now things, going forward, aren't gonna be as smooth as I hoped, we shall see.
