Blue collar noise
The worst part about returning to work, is the minutes before you have to leave the sanctity of your place, where you control the environment, but as soon as you step outside the door, chaos.
And the clock just seems to move hyper fast the last few minutes you have to enjoy you 'space', where it's quiet and safe.
Blue collar noise, much more to follow.

Moving Moving can be a real headache, especially when poor and older and mindset changes. When younger I loved to move around, but back then I could put all my belongings in one giant back pack, we've all been there before. When younger, I thought the world was very large and that people were different depending on where you moved to, no I realize the world is small, and people are the same no matter where you go...same personality types over and over again. I'm lucky to have a place next to small water way, park like setting actually, although pictures never tell the full story. Why would I want to move? Rent would be the same or higher and view would probably be of parking lot or the back of another building. If going to move, I'd prefer it be an improvement. So for now, guess I'll stay put until fate decides otherwise.

I sometimes wish I had done like some, and just not paid rent for 2 years, oh the money I could of saved!
But no, like many of us 'good types' we never think of stuff like that until hear that others are doing it, like on the news or on social media.
If I had stopped paying rent, I could of saved up nearly $24,000.oo dollars or so, that's a lot of savings for a working class stiff like myself.
And with that cash I could of just put it down on a small home, something I could own, like I use to.
As just a regular joe blow American, I don't know what the future holds anymore, everythings going up, Real Estate is being bought up by corporations, millions of migrants will need places to live also, which again drives up prices for regular working class types.
What a sucker I've been to think that 'things would just work out' if I followed the rules of decency...ye right.
Right now just not enthused about much, hopefully just a passing mood.

At my age and stage of life, the problem is, there's really no 'JOB', I see myself wanting to do that's fun to me, and yes, fun has to be a element one has on any job if expected to stay long term.
It's sad, cause all the things I'd really like to do, and get paid for it, I don't have the training.
Like biologist, pilot, paid news report (although that field has gone all to crap now), baseball player, actor and so forth.
All the things I would love to do, I can't, cause not trained or degreed in it, so simply left with mindless 'jobs'.
Trucking, Janitorial, security guard, cashier, laborer, stuff like that, yuk.
There a few skilled trades I wouldn't mind doing, but again, would need training, and most don't want to train you unless young, dumb and cute.
So the only way I see myself making money in the future is through passive income type stuff, writing books, investing, stuff like that were can earn from home..but that's not as easy as it seems either.
I think more and more my future will be to just live out of a RV or Van and be homeless one day, like more and more people are ending up as.

The job market, as in Craiglist posted type labor jobs, just have no idea what they're competing against now. Now people want passive income, now you have younger people trading stock, or older people utilizing airbnb, where guests pay to stay at your home. And you have older people dying and leaving their offspring money, you have Government aid and assist programs, and much more. I mean billions were stolen during the covid relief period, people now living off of the billions they stole.
It's just not the same, not as many younger or even older people willing to show up somewhere and work for 11-14 an hour and still be just as poor as if they didn't have a job.
Times are changing, and so had the labor market.

I may have to move soon, and I find it very disturbing
Moving is just scary, or gets scarier as you age. When young, moving is fun, when young you want to move, you want to see what's out there, but as you age and get caught up in routine, and begin to value peace and tranquility, moving can seem downright horrifying.
And of course, the areas you want to move to, rent is insane, and so you're left living in less desirable areas, where even there rent just keeps going up.

I think, know, I need a career change, but at my age, prospects of that aren't so thrilling, as in the money it takes for schooling or certification.
At my age, you start thinking less about starting over as a rookie in some new field, and more about how much money you'll have to retire on.

What companies fail to realize, is after a certain point, in todays workforce, or past a certain age, if people are working, yet not getting ahead fiscally, the incentive for them to be loyal to your company goes away, unless they're mired down in car payments and bills. Is why I'm so glad I don't have car payments right now, and could care the less about past bills, I live for today.
I don't have the energy to work today, spending energy today, paying off bills from a decade ago, where CEO's of companies get bonuses as company dissolves.
Sears Robuck isn't even a company anymore, do you think I'm going to go back in time and pay store card down on company that doesn't even exist anymore...get outta herre...
