Tampa, FL, has a very young, youthful population
I drive through Tampa Bay, FL usually a few times a week, and one thing I've noticed is it's population is
1. Very young and youthful, meaning there's many working class adults between the ages of 18-35, still in their prime and vibrant
2. Has a large Hispanic, Spanish speaking population, which I do think contributes to the cities youthful feel.
3. Economically thriving, when I drive through Tampa, I rarely see vacant lots or buildings, Tampa seems to have a thriving commerce center that spreads all throughout the city.
So if younger, and single, I think Tampa Bay Florida is great area to meet other singles, especially if Hispanic.
I think most younger, fresh looking, college aged 'whites', as with most cities, when younger their families moved them way out to the suburbs.
So you don't really see younger, cute, college aged whites within many urban centers anymore, cause their parents moved way out to the suburbs when they were younger.
You may see younger whites either moved into expensive downtown lofts, or gathered at cafe's along certain trendy club/bar scene areas, but that's usually it, cause for the most part when just driving around the city, while at work or play, the vast majority of people you see are Hispanic, Asian, ethnic this or that, but you rarely see high school or college aged whites anymore within urban areas.
If you do, they're usually strung out on drugs, homeless ect.
That aside, Tampa Bay is a great city to live if younger and full of energy and dreams.
