Reset button Reset button. In this section here, I want to focus on what happens when you or I or we actually make the right decisions, instead of the wrong ones. Smart decisions instead of dumb ones. Although that doesn't garuntee a positive outcome, cause often we're effected by decisions others make, as in the Government, or a neighbor or your boss or company. None the less, I want to make this section on 'resetting' the past, letting go of bad habits, and focusing on what happens when we make better choices in life. Not sure if it will go any better than any other section, but want to give it a try, for self mainly. (Who's got time to wait for the new year). Also, 2020, for me, has been a pretty decent year, I've had more time off this year in years, while not feeling effects of poverty or corona. And this is the year I got dream schedule job, and this is the year I've cut down my monthly expenses by 40% or more....and will be the year I finally break my addiction to casual drinking, which if not careful can take over your life. So not a bad year for 'me' anyways, not bad at all. And with that, lets begin.

I realize now there really is no 'reset' button in life, everything is circular, joy is circular and so is misery, nothing really starts completely over, we just tell ourselves that for comfort.

A real 'reset' of life might actually come to a ordinary living person if such a person were to win the lottery, then that way could literaly 'separate' self from the past, from current environment, current issues, stresses and problems, and actually start anew, but without a large amount of cash at once to create that instant separation, than it's really hard to separate completely from current issues that bog us down.
Cause what happens is they just creep right back in.

Sometimes you just need a 'new start', and that can mean moving Sometimes you just need a new start, and that can even mean moving just to move, not cause you have to, but cause maybe you just need to in order to refresh thy mind. If you spend 6 years in one place with same results, nothing new occurring in life, sometimes just a move, physically moving to new location, maybe a rental house with large back yard, can totally reset your mindset and make life seem young and fun again... (click to enlarge) This rental house, home, here only $900.00 a month, what a bargain. What a good 'reset' of thy mind, backyard with shed and all, paradise in the city for a working class individual or small family...sadly others jumped on it and not available...(I know cause I called..cry out loud) And inside of unit refurbished and hardwood floors and looks brand new! I have decent safe, quiet place now I rent, but just saying, sometimes it's moving that restarts your life, or can help in doing so...I'll keep trying. I want a place where I can grow a garden next, I want a bit of 'yard' or land..so can get out and 'work it', and exercise. Apartment life is like death to me, no where to roam... I use to own 2 acres, can't believe I gave all that up for a stupid pipe dream.

And sometimes you just have to get out in vehicle and drive around and observe, 'for rent' signs and call. Cause often the best 'for rent' or even 'for sale' signs, you may never see in adds, so just get out and drive in area you want to live in and notice all the 'for rent' signs, or 'for sale' signs and write down numbers and call.

Speaking of 'resets', I sense one coming on now, the funny thing about real resets is you cannot predict when they'll come about.
You have to get or arrive at certain realizations on your own, you can't plan a reset, you just have to arrive there, usually by accident.
Or like being in a car when the car runs out of gas, then you have no choice but to try something different.
I may be at a point now, not sure.
It's just when sober, one realizes how utterly quiet their life is, no foundation at all what so ever, one realizes when sober, as in not drinking or not drinking as much.
When drinking or drunk all the time, life kind of becomes like 'make believe'.
Even the walls become your friends, but when sober, the walls are just walls, and they no longer talk.

Ye, I just feel different now, not sure 'why now'.
Not sure if it's mental or physiological, or what.
I just feel different, like inner body is changing?
Not sure.
Or almost like done with chasing ghosts, which is a metaphor for things in real life that give me zero sum return, whether they be people, habits, ect.
I won't know for certain until a few more days go by whether it's a real reset or just a 'mood', type of temporary reset.
A real reset is usually followed by actual change in behavior and habits, where as a mood just last for a evening or day, or few days, yet no action taken by self to change anything.
We shall see.

How can we let go of the past without being mad about it? How can we let go of the past without being mad about it? Or better yet, will the past ever let you leave? Are there elements of the past that make sure you can't escape it or start anew? And that's where the puzzle of deceit begins or ends. Are there voices of the past that refuse to let you start anew? Is that why the same things in your life seem to have a reoccurring pattern to them? Different people, same behavior, is something or someone whispering in their metaphorical ear? And if they don't like you, why won't they let you go, or if not reveal themselves so scores can be settled once and for all. Or is it all in your head, your mind, your imagination? Is there some force that's bent on making your life miserable since birth? Or in your case age 16 and above? A curse maybe? or are you cursed to be around others who are cursed, and the wake of their demented realms simply rub off on your reality? The answers may never be known, and when and if do, it may not matter to you anymore.

There is nothing in my past to really let go of other than my attitude towards maybe self and others, and or certain self-destructive habits. I don't know. Maybe moving to another environment might help? Filling reality with a new reality?
But seems now days, lunatics run the Asylum and no matter where you go, unless independently wealthy, you're falling under the lunatic policies of the sculptures of reality, driven by greed, driven by the need to control others, to experiment with others.
Not sure what to make of any of this right now (feel like having some potato salad)
One thing I can't deal with is deceit though, it's hard to net and catch deceit cause it always comes from areas you'd least expect it to.

At least if someone catches you doing whatever it is they think you're doing, then you can face your tormentor, but when no one ever catches you, it's almost worst, cause then your own mind starts playing tricks. Then you begin questioning your own moral standing for no good reason at all. I mean for crying out loud, Porn stars, in the media, are treated like celebrities, and 'I've' never done anything like that, movie stars who hold gross back Mansion parties, are then given awards on prime time TV, and again I don't party like that.
Rappers/Rockers, who do drugs, steal, hurt others, violate others, sell albums, have millions of fans. So that tells me morality has nothing to do with it.
Rather it has to be 'personal'.
Anyways, I don't know what to really do about it anymore, what good is always trying to move forward if this cursed mist from the past just keeps following you?
