Like right now, in the process of publishing, through KDP (Amazon) another book, no, it's not going to be a best seller, not even. But just the excitement of the process is exhilarating, cause I'm the engineer behind it.
just the opposite of how I'll feel when go back to work in a few days.
When not working, sky's the limit, when working in that environment, I'm just a labor stooge, a nobody, someone to be lectured to by admin, ect ect.
It's like hell and day. I need a job, going forward, where I can work my brain, implement processes that matter.
Look, I know a lot of people love trucking, love what they do, but I"m just not there anymore, I guess I've done it too long.

Don't pass on 2 way highway unless have enough clearance to do so
Drivers like this not only risk their own lives, but they also jeopardize the safety and lives of those around them.

A week ago, I was excited about learning how to be a freight broker, today, right now, not so much. I mean my mistake was listening to to many other people on YT forecast what that industry is like, the corruption, how hard it can be to build a customer base if new and so on.
Sometimes, if going to do something, just gotta put head down, charge ahead, and do it, cause if you startl listening to all the noise, you can get discouraged.
I figure it's better to have information, and not need it, than to one day need that information and not have it. Either way, sooner or later I'm going to need a desk job that pays a living salary.

Slip seating sucks, cause most drivers are nasty, people in generaly are nasty and sloppy, but when have to share trucks with them, it's even worse. No telling what you may pick up in the course of your shift from driving around all day or night inside of a filthy truck interior.

The best defense for drivers, anyone, is to just stay healthy by keeping your immune system strong, cause this world, our environments, are filled with all kinds of germs and bacteria, not just in trucking, but other trades and jobs as well. Keep your immune system strong, it's really our only defense against it all.
Time to go to work now.

I don't care how boring of a time I have when off, at times, I'd rather die in boredom than work in a job enviroment I despise.
I get one more day to sleep in, then back to work on Thursday. I'll take a totally messed up off day, any day, before a dull, mundane, tedious work day.

Just another long depressing day at work, two more days to go. I usually start off the day feeling OK, but when work such long shifts, it's inebidable that by the end of your shift your mood will change, especially when working alone, and have no one else to bounce your emotions or feelings off of.
I've even applied to enroll in a local college, so that I can take a few classes, math classes, just to immerse myself into a different environment at times, different people, people with different objectives in life.
Today's students come in all ages. Trucking is just not very fulfilling as a career cause there's really no way to advance, other than moving into the office. In the past, large companies like Werner, if you wanted, could start as a driver, then become a dispatcher, then maybe a broker for them, and ect...large companies would elevate those already within the ranks, but now days, not so much. So if you want to advance as a driver, you have to do it yourself, pay for your own training, or get your own trucking authority, buy trucks, and start your own small fleet, ect....easier said than done, especially now days.
Anyways, I'm home now, another useless day of my life. I need to change that, cause one day I won't have any life left to waste.

When I get off work, home from driving, I just feel so 'blah', soulless and totally uninspired. It's a gross feeling, and maybe it has more to do with not having anyone to come home to, more so than the job itself.

Truth is though, if I ever plan on changing my life in a positive way, I'm going to have to step it up, meaning when I get home, I'm going to have to find the energy and drive to study, or learn or ect, otherwise this cycle will never end.

The older you get though, the less you want to really learn anything, and the more you just want a gob of money, so you can just relax. At least brain lazy people like me. But this job will make you brain lazy.
