I got my wish or desire, 3 days only!
I got my wish or desire, 3 days only!...why?....cause I'm good, that's why!
If wasn't a top performer, would of never happened, CSA score, perfect!!!
No faults what's so ever...that's called leverage.
In other words I earned it...
Most my age probably CEO'S earning 6 figures, being given bonuses for doing absolutely nothing!
Well us older blue collar types actually work, but instead of rewarded with bonuses we're worked even harder until die on the job...not having it!
To much of a old school rebel to go out that way.
And any millionaire do nothing talk radio host who tries to guilt you into working until you drop dead on the job is a corporate devil.
You're in charge of your life, never forget that.
And if want to live healthy past the age of 35, than start taking charge of your life, start saving, start not wasting 1000's of dollars on stuff you don't need.
Life is short and precious, especially if a 'good person'...never ever take your own life for granted, ever.
For if no one else appreciates you, I do.

Yes when happy, your immune system, for whatever reason, just strengthens. And with 4 days off per week, you can actually 'have a life!'..go to park..go to beach, play, go to Jazz club and not have to look at 'time'... You can go camping again, canoe and more... Do stuff that actually feeds your spirit, like your ancestors did. This idea that living pay check to pay check is nirvana, what kind of satanic corporate slave master 'spell' is that? Enjoy your life, enjoy your freedom...

Yes, I got my 4 days off per week, I'll earn less for sure, but so what, I'll have way more peace of mind, be able to get way more done, and just be overall more happier when off work cause will have more time to recover and get involved in other things without work breathing down my throat.
But it will still be up to me to 'do something' with extra day...I will.
The main thing is I plan on getting back into cardio shape, jogging, fast walking, going to rec park and throwing ball around.
I can afford it, especially with tax check coming soon.
As you age, life gets shorter, so need to slow things down.
But right now it's time for bed, for rest cause think I do have to work later today...last in a string of 4 days...had Friday off, but how can one get into a Friday knowing have to work Saturday?...you can't...at least I can't..
To be continued.

I'm getting tired of hearing people say America is the greatest country in the world, people who have never traveled anywhere else.
And it just depends on how you measure greatness. Living within America isn't so great for many, crime victims, Government abuse victims from cops to judges, eviction victims, bank repo victims, drug addiction victims and more.
America appears great when you, as a indivicual, can succeed within it's borders, but for the million or so homeless right now, living under bridges, holding up signs saying 'feed me', is America so great?
Well I guess being homeless in America is better than being homeless in Russia, where you'd probably just vanish.
I think living in U.S. for average citizen is probably preferred over certain nations like Iran or Arabia...actually if born in Arabia and a citizen you automatically inherit millions.
But like not sure if life in Japan or America all that different today, or Sweden, or Australia or Canada or ect.
People who say America is the greatest tend to compare America to staunch opposite dictator nations like N Korea, instead of more Democrocized nations like Britain ect.
Europe will still practically be heaven had they not allowed a whole rush of middle Eastern immigrants to flood in and change the social dynamics.
Religions just complicate societies, and prevent unity, when people drag their old ways from their old societies to the new world, it clogs stuff up.
Anyways, today I must work, and sense I must work, I'm not really free.
Sure I could just up and quit, but that would be noted and would be hard for me to get another job, thus I to would be living on the streets..
And ask a Conservative who voted for Trump, right now I don't think they feel so great about their nation, or the leadership.
Freedom can be defined in different ways.
I will say this though, the more money you have the freer you are, regardless of where you live.

I feel really relaxed right now and am doing nothing, absolutely nothing that matters, and that's how 'off time' should feel, when you're off you should just be in the 'moment' and not thinking about the next day.
I already just feel happier and mentally healthier with extra day off again, cause that's what I signed up for, I mean after all these years I know what's best for me at this stage in life.
And I'm the type like this, bills don't dictate my life, rather my health and happiness does.
In other words I won't kill self, body, just to pay down bills, so either I pay them when I can or they don't get paid at all.
Funny how some collection agencies collecting for companies that have since declared bankruptcy cause not even they could manage their own money, yet CEO of such companies always leave with large bonus anyways.
Yep, you'll never see me working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet, nope, instead if I can't get buy on one full time job, or near to it, than oh well, everything will have to adjust around me, not me around bills or other things.
It's called health and longevity.
Cause the bills and corporations and industry were here before us, anyone reading this, and will be around long after we're gone.

Trucking can feel really lonely at times, cause you spend most of your shift all alone, and if have no one to talk to, as in a glued to the cell phone type, than it's just you, traffic, and the road...it can be deadening at times....not so much years ago when trucking was 'one culture' of CB radios and ect...but now, now, everyone speaks a foreign land, everyone is on cell phones, no courtesy anymore and all the past trucking traditions just about gone.
Now truckers honk their horns like cars do, many are from South America and bring their own culture and value system with them which is hurry up and rush and make this money while we can...no time for finer things, just rush and hussle.
Truckers aren't friendly like they use to be, no more 'Jerry Reed' types of drivers, or if so so very hard to find anymore, that generation of trucker is gone, probably gone forever, things just change, society is changing and so is trucking and the people in it.
For most, it's just a job now, you see a lot more 'urban' types in it now to, and they're not very friendly either, everyones just shy and withdrawn and feels the world evolves around them, their needs and their lane.
I wouldn't get into trucking now days unless have a strong support system at home or in life, cause you'll definetaly need it now days.

I think I've had enough of this job, here's why
I work for a large company..(well company I work for works for a large company), so really the same thing, for what 'large company says'...goes.
But here's the thing, my health, my body, could care the less and obeys it's own standards.
Trucking can be brutal, is brutal, is why you don't see very many older healthy and happily retired drivers cause they allowed industry to abuse them when younger.
Not me though.
Everything was fine until they had to go change the 'shifts'...now they want you to work from like 12 midnight start and end around the same time or later next day..
So think about it, a 12 midnight shift means I'm up by at least 10, just to get ready, prepare lunch ect...so by the time I get to work already up for 2 hours, not to mention 30 minute commute...same with coming home, for yard where park truck isn't same location terminal or terminals are...bottom line you're dedicating like 16+ hours of the day for this shift...and fine if like from 8am-8pm or 6 am to 6 pm, but not from 12-12...why?
Cause to me the prime sleep hours are from 4-7 am, that's when body in deepest most healing sleep, and when driving during those hours, there's nothing more painful or damaging to ones body...at least mine, as body is trying to 'shut down', while driving down highway in 40-60,000 lbs of rolling steel.
That's the most dangerous shift ever, in my opinion, for drivers.
so not only working during the 'shut down' sleep phase of day, but then have to still drive, work, another 5-6 hours on top of that, and to me that's a recipy for very bad health and or an accident.
Easy for management, who don't drive, to draft up new schedules, but not always easy for drivers, workers, to carry them out....and they don't care, not one single bit, it's all about profit, always more profit, workers are expandable to them.
Not this one.
I know my limits, and have nothing else to prove by torturing self by trying to stay awake during those hours and driving at the same time.
And 'day sleep', at least for me, never as sound as night sleep.
Not doing it, been there done that, not doing it again.
Forcing self to stay awake is bad on the heart, especially as you age.
Not doing it....not sure what I'll do next, probably take some time off, like a whole month...why not, to just find self again, and find something else I can do that won't try to destroy my health.
No job is worth my health.
to be continued.

I think today will write up resignation letter or email.
I wanted to think about if over the weekend and make sure my decision wasn't an emotional one but a logical one.
And I think it's a logical one..again, here's why I don't want to do this..
New shifts are..
start time 12 am or midnight.
1. Which means have to get up at 10 pm.
2. which means won't get actually home after shift ends until or between the hours of 1 - 2 pm following day, which means won't actually be settled for bed until around 3 pm or later.
That's long time to have to stay awake for a overnight shift...if were 12 pm till 1-2 am, that's different, cause are sleeping during natural sleep cycle, but when forcing body to stay awake all night, the worst of it being from like 4 am to 8 am, then having to still stay awake for another 5 or 6 hours, well that's just to much on the my body, I've don't it before and there's no worse feeling than driving while drowsy. Every mile seems like an hour, it's like time just stops, and you're basically sleeping while awake, only now you're driving 50,000 lbs of truck and cargo, very dangerous.
And for a time sensitive company, it's not like you can stop and sleep, and day cabs on top of that that do not idle.
That's just to much strain on my body..
3. Day time sleep never as deep or restoring as regular early morning sleep is, and you can't make up for it.
In other words sleeping from say 3-4 pm until 10 or 930 pm can't make up for sleeping deeply from 3 am to 8 am, it just can't, not with me anyways.
And it's not like in the military or something where it's my national duty to endure for survival of nation, no, it's just a freagin job!
And it's just me sacrificing health and vitality and mental soundness so rich snobby investors can pocket more.
That's the bottom line for me is that ultimately why would I want to torture myself like that for rich investors who don't even know I exist?, who would never even invite me to their homes or lend me money.
So for that reason and more, no, I'm not willing to sacrifice my health and safety for this job by working what I call the 'death schedule'.
Death schedule as when when driving drowsy is when mistakes are made, your reaction is slower, and more likely to fall asleep behind the wheel and not even know it...screw that.
I know my limits.

When truck drivers pushed to hard and fall asleep behind the wheel of truck I don't want this to happen, but just not wanting it to happen and it occurring are two different things. If don't want it to happen than have to make decisions to make sure it doesn't happen by not working a shift where 'I'm' more likely to fall asleep behind wheel of truck, and working, driving, overnight shift from 12 midnight until 1 or 2 pm following day increases the odds that this could happen. The greed of these companies to always push drivers harder and harder really turns me off. Cause the minute you crash, are injured or killed, the companies move on, forget about you or fire you, and simply hire the next applicant in line..and now your life ruined or ended and for what?, to prove what point to whom?

To that little young white gal, at road side who motioned me to honk horn as I drove by in semi truck
In Ocala, FL
Couldn't honk horn, cause in traffic can't do that, not safe, but still we made eye contact, and I waved, you waved back, as I drove by at 60 mph...I saw the gleam in your young 'w' eyes, and hope you go on to change the world in a positive way.
Moments like that, this, are what sometimes make trucking worth while.
