I'm realizing that not everyone from your past is good for you.
I mean if my life didn't blossom with those in my past in it, what makes me thinking dragging them, including them in on new stuff in my life would make anything different?
They were dead weight to me back then and will be dead weight to me now and in the future, so why bother. Sure, we all want to matter to others, but mattering to some, or trying to, is futile. Cause many from the past bring the same stink with them into the present and future, like dead sour weight. A grave you drag around with you. Just let them stay in the graveyard of your past. After all, they tried to bury you, so why not do the same to them by moving on.

It's Friday night, I'm sober, I have a decent looking sports car just sitting out there less than 100 ft from me, yet I'm home, like a geek, doing nothing...wow. If my Viagra would have arrived, then maybe I'd of been prompted to go out...lol (kidding to self) But I'm just saying, nothing will get a guy up and out of the house more so than being horny, like when younger. Anyways, I'm alert, have energy (thanks to not drinking lately) and so, well, what shall I do? Should I go driving anyways? I'm single, no friends to hang out with, so all I'd really be doing is burning fuel, or risking some drunk person crashing into me (That's how you think when you get older). And the only women I can get now are infertile street women...lol Oh well, there will be enough real life adventure soon enough when I have to fly to LA to pitch a screenplay of mine. So if anything I better enjoy this dull quiet time while I have it to enjoy. It's a late August Friday night, 2024...enjoy it cause summers aren't forever.

Time to pay that evil rentEvil rent is due. I have till tomorrow, but it came up on the 'to do list'...either way rent is evil, period, it's something the industrial greedy west spread out all over the world and to the Americas...who's bright idea was rent?? Rent is responsible for more homelessness than any other cause and people going broke, staying broke, and burning through their retirement money, college money, medical money, and anything else that costs. Rent drains. Rent is an industry totally built on greed. This idea that you have to pay money just to live on any particular spot on this earth is a concept straight from the bowels of hell.At least the Native Americans didn't charge rent, life was hard enough as it was. Anyways, rent is due here soon, so I may as well get the ugliness of it out of the way...another big dip into my savings. One rent payment closer of me having to go back to work, and uselessly hustle working a job I can't stand. I think I'd rather live in a large tent on some land than to spend the rest of my healthy years/life wasting money on rent.

Trying to enjoy nature while in the city can be challenging at times
Trying to enjoy nature within the city can be challenging at times, with all the pollution, noise, cars, traffic, litter, the smells. It's why I actually like when hurricanes come through, not directly, but just catching the outer bands tends to clean up the air, like a vacuum cleaner.
Oh well, gotta make the best of it. On day nature will reclaim it all.

It's raining right now. I think some catigory 2 hurricane has landed ashore in Louisiana. I'm a few states over though, but maybe I'll check out it's path anyways.

Today, at least for a while, I'm going into military mode.
What do I mean by that?
Well, when in Navy boot camp, I learned quick the meaning of military efficiency, and I learned quick that while in boot camp, if pressed, you could get more done in 1 hour than most do in a day....and if you didn't, the penalty was high.
It was all about efficiency, no excuses and managing your time, and demanding the most out of your body and mind.
Great tools for life outside of the military, but eventually we, I, forgot those lessons, or no longer needed to be so intense. However, there comes times in our lives when we do, when we need to put ourselves through our own interpersonal boot camps to get our acts together, and today is one of those days for me.
I'm weeks behind on personal stuff, resume, 'movie pitch', appointments, house cleaning and more. No more lagging, it's time to get busy.
Because the lazy and complacency bug is finally starting to catch up with me, and it's not looking so attractive.

Just got back from late evening, early night bike ride
Just got back from late evening, early night bike ride...I needed it. My mind was stifled, and working out is a good way to clear the mind, vs drinking.
Speaking of drinking beer..I've been drinking more beer as of late than I'd like to. I was making great progress a few weeks ago, but all it takes is a few bored evenings of giving in to drinking and you can go down quick, your health that is, and motivation to workout.
That aside, I'm still on the up side of health.

Should looting be legal in the time of emergencies?
In times of emergencies, should looting be legal and allowed, at least at grocery stores?
