I think boozing just guts your body of all the minerals that actually stabilize your mood and make you feel good. I think boozing, whether beer or hard liquor, just flushes out all the good vitamins and minerals from your body, your brain, your gut, your muscles, your eyes, skin, feet, hands, and is why when drink for days at a time you end up feeling so terrible.
And it's worse when older, cause your body already produces less of everything. Maybe when young, as in under 35, you just don't notice it as much.
Looking back, I used to have way more fun when drinking and drunk, it felt so recreational, and I'd be buzzing for hours, and go out and 'play', ride my bike around or roller blade....not anymore...the streets of today are way way to dangerous, or I should say those in them are.

I think with me, drinking is a self sabotaging act. And not sure why. Why am I afraid to feel good, positive and energized??
It's like I drink, to slow myself down, but why?

Ye, it's like I'm afraid to just feel good, energized and happy, and so I drink to sabotage that feeling.

Alcohol and coffee took me to a place, yesterday night and into the morning, and pretty much all day today, that I had no business going. You don't even have to do drugs, just be in decent shape, drink a lot of coffee, then get drunk...wow. The nature that will come out of you, hmm...it's one that will usuaully embarass you the next day. It's going on 10 pm, a bit after, and I'm still recovering. Haven't studied, canceled a appointment, wow. I will not succeed at life unless I'm much more careful with how and when I drink.

Believe it or not, this song inspired me to stop drinking tonight and want to get sober
People who say rappers aren't talented are dishonest intellectual baffoons.
Listen to these guys, their lyrics, and how tight they are. That's discipline, and you can't do that if drunk, stoned or high.
They're lyrical athletes...and just made me want to stop drinking tonight, and instead be sober and focus on my craft...and being the best I can be at whatever gift god gave me.

Drinking just makes your mind fuzzy and blurry...makes concentrating harder.

Like a fool, I just had to drink yesterday, after going nearly a week without a beer. I was on cloud nine, never felt better in months...but like a drinker, I just had to drink some beers to 'enhance' the feeling, which it never does.
But no worries, this morning, through out the 3 remaining beers in place...sobriety has the momentum as of now, so lets keep it that way.

Even though I drank yesterday for the first time in a week, and feeling the after effects today, I'm still going to get dressed and go exercise a bit, meaning go ride the bike, walk, stretch etc.
I've been getting back in shape as of late, so why let one bad decision to drink, yesterday, ruin a good thing or trend.

My so called film mentor, not really, just called...I didn't answer, this is why i need to stop drinking, cause the morning after you just don't feel like doing much of anything, particularly if it involves learning something new, taxing the brain and mind.
Beer, drinking and studying do not, repeat not, go hand in hand, that's for sure.
